It all took place at the end of November 2022. The woman was then both raped and abused in her home by the man, who is from Västerbotten.
The prosecutor believed that the woman had been the victim of an attempted murder, because the man had strangled her.
The district court certainly believes that the evidence strengthens that the man abused the woman, but that the woman was not in mortal danger.
The man also stopped the assault.
The district court therefore sentences the man to prison for three years and two months for rape and assault of the normal degree.
The man must also pay damages of a total of SEK 238,000 to the woman.
