“Helping Ukraine defend itself and restore international law does not mean treating the Russian people as an enemy,” he said in an interview with the Corriere della Serra newspaper.
Crosetto stated that he does not support the idea of closing European borders to artists, athletes and ordinary people from Russia.
“We need to keep the channels of dialogue open,” the minister added.
Earlier, Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg did not support the idea of a ban on the issuance of Schengen visas for all Russians.
