The Russian embassy in North Korea said the North Korean authorities had lifted strict restrictions on the movement of diplomatic corps and others in Pyongyang, citing an increase in the number of people with respiratory illnesses there. The notice was released on the 30th.

Due to the increasing number of people with symptoms of respiratory illness in Pyongyang, the North Korean authorities have ordered diplomatic corps and others in Pyongyang for five days until the 29th, except for the embassy and where they live. Strict restrictions on movement were set to prevent people from moving, but it was lifted in a notice released by the Russian Embassy in North Korea on the 30th.

On the other hand, the North Korean authorities have not announced any of these measures, and the detailed situation in Pyongyang has not been clarified.

However, the North Korean media pointed out that the executives in charge of some regions did not implement thorough infection control measures regarding the new coronavirus countermeasures, saying, ``What is more dangerous than a malignant virus in terms of protecting the security of the country is conceit. It seems that the North Korean leadership continues to be wary of the re-expansion of the infection.
