He said this at a press conference following talks with Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

“We are satisfied with the current state of military-technical cooperation.

We maintain regular contacts between the heads of defense departments, the chiefs of general staffs," the TASS minister quotes.

Lavrov also added that the countries are carrying out joint combat training activities, including those dedicated to increasing anti-terrorist potential.

“The training of Pakistani military personnel in educational institutions of the Russian Ministry of Defense continues,” he said.

Earlier, Lavrov announced the focus of Russia and Pakistan on building up cooperation in the energy sector.
