Four men were presented in direct appearance at the Montpellier Criminal Court.

They were suspected of having abducted, kidnapped and violently beaten another man, whom they blamed for the disappearance of 50 kg of cannabis which they believed was the nurse.

The man had been kidnapped in the middle of the day in a service station in the Hérault prefecture.

Beaten up, he was finally released with a day of ITT.

Two days later, his attackers returned, this time to search the business run by two of his brothers in the Celleneuve district, again without finding the drugs.

The two brothers who had tried to intervene had in turn been injured, resulting in several days of ITT.

Pretrial detention pending dismissal of trial

Faced with this outburst of violence, they had decided to file a complaint.

Two men were quickly arrested and two others, knowing that they were wanted, presented themselves to the police station.

The lawyers for the defendants having asked for a delay to prepare the defense of their client, the trial was postponed to May.

Pending this judgment, three of the four defendants were kept in pre-trial detention. The fourth, with no criminal record, was released with a ban on going to Montpellier until his trial.
