Benin: a deadly road accident kills at least twenty people

A very deadly collision occurred between a bus and a truck this Sunday, January 29 in the center of the country.

The last report communicated was 20 dead and 22 injured evacuated to the city hospital, a still provisional report.

It is one of the deadliest accidents on Beninese roads in recent years.

The fatal collision occurred at the entrance to the town of Dassa, 200 kilometers from Cotonou, on Sunday afternoon between a freight truck and a bus.

The impact caused a fire.

The dead perished in the flames, the wounded evacuated severely burned.

The firefighters of Dassa and the neighboring town of Savalou intervened, they came to the end of the fire and extracted about twenty charred bodies.

The injured were taken care of in the local hospital.

Some were transferred to the CNHU in Cotonou. 

The sad news goes around the networks, messages of compassion and comments on the condition of the vehicles and the behavior of the drivers are posted. 

Patrice Talon dispatched the Ministers of the Interior and Transport to the scene of the accident.

There will be a sequel so that this does not happen again
