The issue of the restaurant has been hot politically and culminated during the election last fall when the Moderates took power, with a promise to demolish it and find a private actor to build and run the business.

The former S-majority also wanted to demolish the building, but in addition to that, with the help of tax money, finance a new building for just over SEK 20 million.

Now the demolition will cost roughly SEK 700,000, and what will happen at the site in the future is still unclear.

The matter will be taken up in the municipal council on February 8 for a final decision.
