3. Queen Elizabeth II (1952-2022), United Kingdom

The world's longest-reigning monarch was also a longtime Pembroke Welsh corgis breeder.

Her dynasty of dogs began when Princess Elizabeth received a puppy named Susan as a gift for her 18th birthday in 1944. They were inseparable;

Her Majesty had even insisted on taking her on her honeymoon with Prince Philip!

Susan had no less than 14 generations of descendants.

4. Queen Victoria (1837-1901), United Kingdom

Queen Victoria loved animals and her friendship with Dash, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, when she was a child is well documented.

Gomi, Pungsan's hunting dog, later gave birth to a litter.

“As the gestation period for dogs is about two months, Gomi was already expecting puppies when she was given to us.

6. President Vladimir Putin (2012-present), Russia

The three dogs of the President of the Russian Federation were given to him as gifts by Japan, Bulgaria and Turkmenistan.

Yume, his female Japanese akita inu, stood out when she accompanied the president to meet the Japanese press, barking at reporters before performing tricks with her handler.
