The British Foreign Office noted that London will provide Kyiv with Challenger 2 tanks in parallel with partner countries, "demonstrating the strength of support for Ukraine at the international level."

On January 26, British First Deputy Secretary of Defense Alex Chuck said that the British side hoped to deliver Challenger 2 tanks to the Kyiv regime by the end of March.

British General Richard Shirreff, in an article for the Daily Mail, expressed the opinion that the West should send all the weapons it has to Kyiv, including advanced fighters, despite the risk of an escalation of the conflict.
