Video clips circulated by pioneers of social networking sites in Saudi Arabia showed breathtaking moments of a rockslide in the Black Mountain, Al-Raith Governorate, in the Jazan region, in the south of the Kingdom.
The scenes showed the presence of some vehicles on the Black Mountain Road, where the rockslide occurred a few seconds before the vehicles passed, while traffic stopped along the road as a result of the collapse.

For his part, the official spokesman for the Saudi Geological Survey, Tariq Aba Al-Khail, stated that the stations of the national seismic monitoring network in the authority recorded an earthquake yesterday morning, Saturday, January 28, at 05:27 local time, 42 km southwest of Abu Arish, with a seismic magnitude. 2.99 degrees on the Richter scale and a depth of 6.59 kilometers.
