“As of the morning of January 28, there is no information about citizens of the Russian Federation among the victims of the armed attacks that took place in the East Jerusalem districts of Neve Yaakov on January 27 and Silvan on January 28,” TASS reports.

The embassy also noted the absence of appeals on this topic.

The Consular Department is monitoring the situation and is in contact with the Israeli side on this issue.

On the evening of January 27, a man opened fire on people in a synagogue in the Neve Yaakov area.

Arriving at the scene, the police entered into a shootout with the attacker, as a result of which he was neutralized.

Police confirmed the deaths of seven people as a result of the shooting.

According to The Times of Israel, police detained 42 people in connection with the attack.

Later it became known that one of the dead as a result of the shooting was a citizen of Ukraine.
