The Gulf Cooperation Council condemns the burning of the Noble Qur’an in Copenhagen

The Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, condemned the burning of the Holy Quran by extremists in the Danish capital, Copenhagen, in a systematic and repeated provocative step that inflames the feelings of Muslims around the world.

Al-Hajraf affirmed the GCC's firm position calling for the importance of spreading the values ​​of dialogue, tolerance and coexistence, and rejecting hatred and extremism, contrary to what has been repeated of these unfortunate practices in a number of European capitals recently under the pretext of freedom of expression, without a clear reaction to these practices from The concerned authorities, stressing the need for the international community to intervene urgently and assume responsibilities to stop such unacceptable acts.
