The Gulf Cooperation Council condemns the burning of the Noble Qur’an in Copenhagen
The Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, condemned the burning of the Holy Quran by extremists in the Danish capital, Copenhagen, in a systematic and repeated provocative step that inflames the feelings of Muslims around the world.
Al-Hajraf affirmed the GCC's firm position calling for the importance of spreading the values of dialogue, tolerance and coexistence, and rejecting hatred and extremism, contrary to what has been repeated of these unfortunate practices in a number of European capitals recently under the pretext of freedom of expression, without a clear reaction to these practices from The concerned authorities, stressing the need for the international community to intervene urgently and assume responsibilities to stop such unacceptable acts.
