“Any ambassador arriving at the place of service ... in order, as they say, to look around and solve the priority issues of his further stay at the place of service, as an act that allows him to take up his duties, transfers copies of his credentials to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the host country,” Ryabkov explained RIA News.
According to him, the corresponding procedure has been agreed with the American diplomat.
Ryabkov confirmed that the meeting with Tracy will take place early next week.
On January 26, Lynn Tracy, the new US Ambassador to Russia, arrived in Moscow.
It was also reported that Russian Ambassador Anatoly Antonov met in Washington with the new US Ambassador.
