It is reported by TASS with reference to the Association of pollock miners.

It is noted that the indicators of Russian production of pollock fillet over the past year reached almost 140 thousand tons.

At the same time, the indicators of American fishermen for the same period amounted to about 138 thousand tons.

“Thus, for the first time in history, Russian fishermen have overtaken American fishermen in the production of the pollock products most in demand on the market,” the report says.

Earlier it was reported that in 2022, enterprises of the Far East increased the volume of exports of fish products.

There was also information that Japan would continue to demand consultations from Russia on the fishery of Japanese fishermen in the Kuriles.
