Since Friday, eligible French people have started to receive their fuel allowance.

But out of ten million eligible motorists, only three million applied.

Amount deemed insufficient or simple oversight, why so few people who are entitled to it have taken the process?

10 million French people are eligible and only 3 million have requested it.

The fuel allowances begin to arrive since this Friday.

A boost of a hundred euros intended for the most modest French people.

There are those who find this aid totally derisory.

One full, or even two, is not enough.

"100 euros, compared to everything we put in the car a year, it's not huge," explains Justine, a motorist.

"It's not 100 bullets that will change a year of diesel that you put in your car, it won't change the situation," adds Antoine, refueling.

“Those who are entitled to it must ask for it”

According to Yves Carra, spokesman for the Mobility Club France association, a large part of those who could touch it simply do not know it.

“We have until February 28. Go ahead, try it, see if you are entitled to it. It is true that we would have liked it to be for everyone. May-June, it's already forgotten. Because in the end, it's only 8 euros per month if we spread it over a year. But hey, those who are entitled to it must ask for it and must have it and it will be already a good thing."

Already a good thing, but the automobile is currently facing a general surge in all expenses.

"It's not a luxury, but it could become one in the average future. Because it's a budget that is increasing more and more. Repairs, gasoline, simply buying cars, it's is a general problem and which is worrying", adds Yves Carra.

Today, having a vehicle costs an average of 400 euros per month, an amount that is constantly increasing.
