It was last Friday afternoon that the coast guard ran into a group of dolphins just outside Strömstad.

- Sometimes you're lucky when these wild animals come out all by themselves and hang by the boat, says marine biologist Anna Bisther at the Natural History Museum in Gothenburg.

"Remarkable"

She also confirms that saddleback dolphins were most likely on a temporary visit.

- It's not very unusual - but startling.

Dolphins or killer whales usually appear once a year, she says.

The Coast Guard filmed the incident and shared the clip on social media, where it has received over 230,000 views at the time of writing.

In the video: See the dolphins swimming around the boat and hear Helen Karlsson tell about the experience.
