The Kremlin: The key to ending the Ukraine war is in the hands of Biden

The Kremlin said on Friday that US President Joe Biden holds the key to ending the conflict in Ukraine by directing Kyiv, but Washington is not yet willing to use it.

"The key to the Kyiv system is largely in Washington's hands," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters at a daily briefing.

"We see now that the current leader of the White House ... does not want to use this key. On the contrary, he chooses the path of pumping more weapons into Ukraine," he added.

Moscow often accuses Washington of giving orders to Ukraine and prolonging the conflict by supplying weapons to Kyiv.

The United States says Russia waged a brutal war by choice and can end it by withdrawing its forces.
