The cache was found in a private house in one of the settlements of the republic, the name of which is not given.
Two TNT bombs and electric detonators for them, hand grenades, a 5.45-mm machine gun and 3,000 rounds of ammunition for it, as well as a GP-25 grenade launcher and a VOG-25 grenade were found in the cache.
“The method of laying the cache and its filling indicate that the cache was intended to support the activities of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups,” the ministry explained.
Earlier, near an unfinished building in Melitopol, Zaporozhye region, security forces discovered a cache with explosives and weapons.
