Between January 22 and 24, 1943, the Germans decided to make Marseille an example by evacuating the 25,000 inhabitants of the area.

Some will be deported to death camps.

From February 1, the German troops undertook to raze the district.

1,500 buildings will be destroyed and 50 streets wiped off the map.

Today, the descendants of these families demand justice.
