Xinhua News Agency, Tokyo, January 27 (Reporter Guo Dan, Jiang Qiaomei) According to Kyodo News, the governor of Okinawa Prefecture, Japan, Tamaki Danny, went to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to submit a petition on the 27th, requesting the Japanese government to issue a new version of the security policy approved in December last year. The strengthening of the defense forces in the southwest region mentioned in the document will be explained in detail.

According to reports, Dani Yucheng met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yamada Kenji at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and submitted a petition to him.

Tamaki Danny asked the Japanese government to immediately give detailed instructions to Okinawa residents on the formulation process of the new version of the three security documents, what impact it will have on the local area, and what changes it will bring.

In December last year, the Japanese government officially approved three security policy documents (referred to as the "three security documents") of the new version of the "National Security Strategy", "National Defense Strategy" and "Defense Force Preparation Plan".

All three documents mentioned the need to strengthen the Japanese Self-Defense Forces stationed in Okinawa and expand the use of local airports and ports by the Self-Defense Forces.

Analysts pointed out that the approval of the new version of the three security documents marked a major turning point in Japan's post-war security concept and defense policy, completely abandoning the principle of "exclusive defense" and completely departing from the peace concept of the Japanese Constitution.

Such a major policy shift has not been discussed in Congress, nor has it been explained to the people of Okinawan who will be greatly affected.
