The list of 14 names has been released by the Japanese Foreign Ministry.

The former Minister of State Security of the DPR Andrey Pinchuk, the rector of Kherson State University Tatyana Tomilina, the deputy head of the administration of the Zaporizhzhya region Andrey Trofimov and others fell under the sanctions.

Earlier, Japan imposed sanctions against children's ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova, CEC head Ella Pamfilova, and 20 other Russian citizens.

The Japanese government also banned the export of radioactive materials, vaccines and medical devices to Russia.
