Marseille police investigators are continuing their work to undermine drug sales networks.

This Friday, seven individuals suspected of participating in drug trafficking notoriously current in the city of Olives A were arrested.

Fifty kilos of cannabis, one kilo of cocaine, three firearms (two semi-automatic and a shotgun) and 28,000 euros were seized, said Dominique Laurens, the public prosecutor of Marseille, in a press release.

Les Oliviers A, a city in the northern districts, is one of the active players in the narcotics market.

This network is also at the origin of bloody conflicts that have bedeviled the city for several years.

His historical litigation opposing him to the so-called "black" clan produced nine deaths during settling of scores in 2022, the police services had counted.

Its former suspected leader, Kamel Meziani, arrested in September 2021 in Paris will be tried in early February by the Assize Court of Aix-en-Provence.
