Szijjarto specified that, together with Rosatom, a consortium of the French company Framatome and the German Siemens Energy, which under the contract is obliged to supply an automated process control system, is participating in the construction of new NPP units.

The Hungarian diplomat noted that the French company had given permission to supply the necessary equipment.

“And two“ green ”ministers of the German government - the Minister of Economics and the Minister of Foreign Affairs - are blocking the issuance of such a permit to Siemens Energy," RIA Novosti quotes him.

He called such steps unacceptable.

In August last year, Hungary issued a permit for the construction by Rosatom of two new nuclear power units using Russian technologies in the city of Paks.

The launch of two new nuclear power units in Hungary is scheduled for 2030.
