A woman was fatally knocked down this Friday morning in Strasbourg.

The facts occurred shortly after 9:30 a.m., road to Oberhausbergen, not far from the Rotonde parking lot.

According to a report from the Bas-Rhin Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS 67), the woman, whose age could not be determined, was hit by a truck.

The victim died of his injuries.

A woman, shocked by the accident as well as the driver of the heavy goods vehicle, could be left on the spot after an assessment of the SAMU.

The blood alcohol test carried out on the driver of the lorry would be negative.

An investigation is opened to identify the victim and determine the reasons for this accident.

According to the first elements, the victim would be an elderly person and witnesses would indicate that she had just entered a pedestrian crossing.
