The son of the Minister of Justice, Raphaël Dupond-Moretti, was taken into custody on suspicion of domestic violence on Friday.
The facts date back to Thursday afternoon.
Raphaël Dupond-Moretti presented himself to the gendarmes of Courchevel.
He was heard in an open hearing on Thursday before being taken into custody on Friday on suspicion of domestic violence.
“As a father, I am devastated”
His father, Éric Dupond-Moretti reacted quickly.
"As a father, I am devastated. I have a thought for the victim. Any violence, whatever it is, is intolerable. As a minister, I have never ceased to fight against violence against women and so that their word is taken into account. As a citizen, I ask that my family life be respected. It is now up to Justice to do its job", he declared.
According to the first elements, a neighbor had alerted the gendarmes after hearing an argument on Thursday.
She then collected at her home the companion of Raphaël Dupond-Moretti, who would then have mentioned kicks and punches.
Raphaël Dupond-Moretti is questioned by the gendarmes in order to verify these statements.
