According to several sources, the CPC carried out at least four attacks, in the west near Cameroon and in the northeast near Chad.

Assaults against the Central African armed forces (FACA) and the Russian paramilitaries of the Wagner group.

The armed movement could take advantage of a more favorable period to be more active.

“

The rainy period hinders our movements.

But in the dry season, we circulate freely

”, explains Aboubacar Sidik, spokesperson for the CPC.

A statement that could explain the recent attacks.

The rebels claimed responsibility for an ambush on January 25, 20km from Gordil (northeast of the country), against FACA and Russian paramilitaries.

The group says it got the upper hand while recognizing two dead and eight wounded.

Same type of attack, yesterday, against Wagner, not far from Chad.

A good source speaks of a third operation on the Cameroonian border on January 23, in the village of Desson, where there is a base.

A soldier was reportedly killed and civilians injured.

But the biggest attack would have taken place on January 21, in Béloko, 50 kilometers further south.

This military base is also a strategic customs post where goods and populations transit, with significant revenue for the administration.

According to local sources, the rebels ransacked the place, burning dozens of vehicles, property, fuel stocks.

A witness speaks of two Russians and two civilians killed.

Who will compensate for the losses?

 reacts Father Sylvain from Béloko.

“

The population lives in psychosis.

We need a dialogue to unblock the situation with the rebels

 ”, he adds...

The CPC claims this offensive.

“

We took weapons and ammunition

,” says Aboubacar Sidik, who recognizes collateral damage.

As for the material damage, he accuses the Russians of having themselves caused the fires.

It's manipulation

 ," he said.
