The Canadian side stated that this move is the result of coordination with its allies and partners.

  Germany announced on the 25th that it will provide Ukraine with the "Leopard 2" main battle tank, while allowing other countries to provide this type of tank to Ukraine.

  When Anand visited Ukraine in mid-January, he announced that Canada would donate 200 "Senator" armored personnel carriers produced by the Canadian defense company Roshel to the Ukrainian side, worth more than 90 million Canadian dollars.

The Canadian side also announced a few days ago that it will purchase a set of "National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System" (NASAMS) and supporting ammunition from the United States and donate them to Ukraine.

This is the first air defense system Canada has supplied to Ukraine.

The Canadian side will spend about 406 million Canadian dollars for this.

  Since the Ukrainian crisis broke out in early 2022, Canada has cumulatively committed more than $5 billion in military, financial, humanitarian and other assistance to Ukraine.
