He also said that in Ukraine they are aware that the delivery of tanks to Ukraine could take many months.
The ambassador added that "it would be too late" if the tanks arrived in August or September.
Earlier, White House National Security Council strategic communications coordinator John Kirby said that it would take “many months” for the transfer of American M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine.
The Kremlin said that the idea of supplying Ukraine with American Abrams and German Leopard tanks is a failure for technological reasons.
