Peru remains in turmoil, parliamentarians want the dismissal of Boluarte

In the country, many demonstrations are taking place and nearly 80 roads remain blocked.

In Puno, 500 soldiers were deployed.

In the capital, Lima, several hundred demonstrators protested again on Wednesday to demand the resignation of President Dina Boluarte and the dissolution of Congress.

Many demonstrators come from Cusco, Arequipa, Ica, several hundred kilometers from Lima.

This peasant from Puno traveled two days to reach the capital. 

I have been here for a week.

And we will stay until Dina Boluarte leaves.

A month, two months if necessary.

We are going to make this sacrifice so that she gives up.

In the procession, a new slogan: “Puno is Peru”.

Dina Boluarte said that the city of Puno was not really Peru.

But we are Peruvians.

That's why we come to walk in the capital.

Victor, a teacher in Arequipa, also responds to Dina Boluarte's calls for a truce.

She calls for dialogue and 15 minutes later, in her speeches, she insults us.

Our movement will become even more radicalized.

As in previous days, an important police force was set up in the historic center of Lima. 

More and more protesters are coming with goggles and masks to protect themselves from tear gas.

The president repeats, for her part, that she will not give up.

Several ministers say they are in favor of elections this year.

But the decision is in the hands of Congress.

The president was heard yesterday by the Organization of American States (OAS) and asked Congress to ratify the advancement of the elections as soon as possible.

Left-leaning MPs tabled a vacancy motion against her yesterday.
