Nuland: Turkey's approval of Finland and Sweden in NATO would facilitate the sale of the F-16

She said this during a congressional hearing.

“This is exactly what we told our Turkish allies about, that Congress will probably treat this much more favorably after ratification,” TASS quoted her as saying. 

Earlier, the Pentagon reported that a request for the supply of F-16s to Turkey was submitted to the US Congress.

Before that, it was reported that Turkey admits the possibility of purchasing Russian Su-35 fighters if the deal on the American F-16s fails.
