Konstantin Gavrilov, head of the Russian delegation at the talks in Vienna on issues of military security and arms control, stated this on air on the Russia 24 TV channel.

He said that earlier on the negotiation track, diplomats dealt with issues of small arms.

“Documents were developed, but now they are practically all set aside.

It’s just that the West does not comply with them and really moves to a new level, ”RIA Novosti quotes his answer to a question about a new stage in the confrontation between Russia and NATO in connection with the decision to supply Kyiv with Abrams and Leopard 2 tanks.

He emphasized that the supply of tanks and even planes by the West to Kyiv will not change the situation in Ukraine and will not force Russia to abandon the goals of the special operation.

On January 25, the German government announced that it would send Ukraine 14 Leopard 2A6 tanks from the stocks of the Bundeswehr.

Berlin will also issue permission to other countries to re-export German Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.
