The historic center of Odessa, in Ukraine, has been placed on the list of world heritage and on that of the sites in danger of Unesco, announced Wednesday January 25 the UN organization.

Located on the shores of the Black Sea, the city is only a few tens of kilometers from the front line and has been hit several times by Russian missiles.

In July, part of the large glass roof and windows of the Museum of Fine Arts, inaugurated in 1899, were destroyed.
