Watch teacher Hans Olofsborg tell about the incident that cost him his job in the clip.

It was last May that Hans Olofsborg asked the students in a class at a high school in Gothenburg to put down their tablets.

One of the students refused, but Hans stood his ground and finally took the student by the arm to show him out of the classroom.

Double police reports

According to Hans, the student threatens to kill him during the argument.

"My father will cut your hair",

he is said to have told Hans.

Something that is also supported by other students in the class who heard the fight.

Hans reports the student to the police for illegal threats, but is also reported himself a few days later by the student's father, who believes that Hans abused the student when he took him by the arm.

Not welcome back

Both police reports are dropped, but despite that, Hans is informed that he will not be allowed to work any further.

The reason given by the employer is that Hans did not follow the low-affective method.

But according to the School Act, a teacher has the right to intervene physically against a student who disturbs the order.

And Hans does not see that he has done anything wrong.

- No, I think I have acted according to my powers.

Larisa Muslijovic, head of the staffing unit, does not want to comment on individual cases.

But she says that decisions about not giving more assignments to a teacher are always based on an overall picture.
