“Thanks to our preemptive actions, the enemy’s plans to carry out a broad offensive against the liberated part of the Zaporozhye region were thwarted,” Rogov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
He added that the offensive was necessary for the Ukrainian army to reach the shore of the Sea of Azov.
Earlier, Rogov said that as a result of offensive actions, the Russian Armed Forces opened the positions of the Ukrainian army on the first line of defense in the Zaporozhye region.
