An investigation was opened on Tuesday in Béziers (Hérault), after a patient fell from the third floor of a CHU building the day before at 8:15 p.m.

She was seriously injured.

In a press release, published Tuesday evening, the Béziers Hospital Center specifies that “the medical team immediately informed the emergency department which dispatched a medical-nursing team on site.

First aid was given very quickly and the patient was transferred to Montpellier University Hospital by helicopter at 9:20 p.m.

The patient's family was immediately notified by the hospital management, and psychological support was provided to them.

In addition, a support system has also been put in place for caregivers.

For the time being, nothing is known of the causes of the fall of this patient.
