The purpose of the new foundation is to help and support people who work against mental illness.

The newly started foundation has been named "Ing-Marie Wiselgren - together for mental health".

- Carrying her work on is the best way to honor her, says Lars Stjernkvist, close friend of Wieselgren and chairman of the foundation, in Morgonstudion.

The daughter-in-law remembers the shock

Ann-Marie Wieselgren was psychiatry coordinator at Sweden's municipalities and regions, SKR.

She was murdered when she participated in the Almedal Week in Visby last year.

Daughter-in-law Lovisa Wieselgren, who is also involved in the foundation, describes how she ended up in "total denial" when she was reached by the death notice.

- You can be prepared for a lot, but not an event like this, says Lovisa Wieselgren.

"Total darkness"

Lars Stjernkvist himself was at the Almedal Week when the murder occurred.

- The contrast between all this talking and laughing and then the total darkness, it will always remain, he says.

The perpetrator Theodor Engström was sentenced in December to forensic psychiatric care for the murder and for preparation for a terrorist crime through attempted murder.
