Nearly four months after a resurgence of tension in the Dervallières district, marked by several police operations and a shooting in the middle of the street, drug trafficking has resumed at the level of the imposing Watteau building, a reputable deal point in Nantes.

However, the police have not given up and have renewed targeted interventions since the end of the year.

Tuesday evening, around 7 p.m., a new “anti-stump” raid was carried out at No. 38 rue Antoine-Watteau by the anti-crime brigade and the canine brigade.

Four people, aged 17 to 27, were arrested on the spot, reports the national police.

Searches in two apartments revealed narcotics, including 259 grams of heroin.

A laptop computer, cannabis cultivation equipment and nearly 400 euros in cash were also seized, police said.

Well known to the police, the deal point established at No. 38 of the Watteau des Dervallières building had seen its activity decline since the arrest, at the end of June, of its alleged leader.

On September 29, the body of an 18-year-old young man living in Dervallières was found partly burned in Saint-Herblain and shot in the head.

The day before, a 17-year-old boy had been shot in the chest close to the Watteau building.
