- These are birds from North America and Siberia.

Recently I saw a bird called Bronsibis.

It comes from south-eastern Europe and would have been in Africa this year, says Urban Toresson.

What are the most exciting birds you have seen this year?

- I have seen nightingales, black storks, white storks and steppe warblers here on Öland, for example, they are not at all common at this time of year.

Have seen changes

One of the big changes that Urban has seen is that more birds stay in Sweden.

- For the birds, it's about food and survival, and the mild winters also mean that many more birds choose to hibernate, I've seen that over the past 50-60 years.

They simply skip the long drudgery and it is quite fast that it settles in the genes of the children.

"Returned three years in a row"

Kalmar resident Pav Johnsson is a well-known bird watcher and trained biologist.

We meet him at the Boholmarna where he has something exciting in his sights.

- Right now I'm looking at the ringworm that swims out here.

It is an American duck that has returned three years in a row now.
