The strike affects around 300 flights to and from the German capital.

The Verdi trade union states that its members are seeking a salary increase of 500 euros, equivalent to 6,123 kroner, per month.

The German news agency dpa reports that employers have offered staff a one-off compensation of 2,000 euros (22,265 kroner).
