Chinanews.com, Hangzhou, January 25th (Guo Qiyu) Playing rice cakes, watching fireworks, and visiting lantern festivals... During the Spring Festival this year, Jiang Siyu, president of the Zhejiang Youth Association in Hong Kong, once again felt the flavor of his childhood in his memory.

Thanks to the "customs clearance" between Hong Kong and the Mainland, this is the first time in three years that she has returned to her hometown of Haining, Zhejiang Province to celebrate the New Year and reunite with her parents and family.

After three years, on January 8 this year, Hong Kong and the mainland ushered in the first phase of quarantine-free "customs clearance". After learning the news, Jiang Siyu immediately booked a ticket to go home during the Chinese New Year.

For her, who commutes between Zhejiang and Hong Kong all year round, "clearing customs" is a great benefit.

In 2015, Jiang Siyu went to the Chinese University of Hong Kong to study for a master's degree.

At that time, she had been living in the mainland and participated in the sharing session for freshmen going to Hong Kong by Zhejiang Youth Association in Hong Kong. Not only did she meet many friends in Hong Kong, but she also helped her to solve many problems in life and study when she first arrived.

"Since then, I have often participated in the activities of the Zhejiang Youth Association in Hong Kong. All young people have a common language and a common hometown of Zhejiang. The Zhejiang Youth Association in Hong Kong has become our warm organization and home." Jiang Siyu said.

After graduation, Jiang Siyu found her first job in Hong Kong with the help of Zhejiang Youth Association in Hong Kong.

"At that time, I just wanted to experience the pace of work and life in this city. I had a different life experience. Later, because all aspects became smoother, I naturally stayed in Hong Kong."

Personal secretary, financial planner, self-employed, Jiang Siyu said with a smile that she was also a "Hong Kong drifter".

Knowing that it is not easy to wander alone in Hong Kong, she joined the Zhejiang Hong Kong Youth Association as an executive committee member and organized activities to help more young people living in Hong Kong.

In 2021, Jiang Siyu took over the baton and served as the president of the Zhejiang Youth Association in Hong Kong, leading this youth association with more than 5,000 members to become the most dynamic link between Zhejiang and Hong Kong.

"In the past year, we overcame the impact of the epidemic and organized a total of 46 activities, especially in terms of youth exchanges between Zhejiang and Hong Kong. We led Hong Kong youths to Zhoushan and Jiaxing, Zhejiang, and formed concentric partners with youth groups in the two places. "Jiang Siyu told reporters that the Zhejiang Youth Association in Hong Kong has also established a volunteer group to mobilize the power of young people to actively participate in social welfare.

In Jiang Siyu's mind, in 2022, the Zhejiang Youth Association in Hong Kong will be on the stage of theatrical performances celebrating the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return, becoming their highlight moment, showing the demeanor and appearance of Zhejiang youth in front of the whole Hong Kong.

From "running away" to "returning", Jiang Siyu is now leading more and more young people from Hong Kong back to Zhejiang, promoting exchanges and exchanges between young people in the two places.

"After Hong Kong and the mainland resume 'customs clearance', Hong Kong and Hangzhou are also two-hour city circles for us." Jiang Siyu hopes to take the opportunity of the Hangzhou Asian Games this year to organize more Hong Kong youths to visit and exchange in Zhejiang, so that the youth of the two places will get closer The closer you get, the closer you go.
