It has been confirmed that the Chinese hacking group, which predicted cyber attacks on Korean institutions, actually hacked the homepages of 12 academic institutions, including the Korean Language Society and the Korean Archaeological Society.



The Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) announced to the media today (25th), "We confirmed that the hacking was done on the websites of 12 institutions, including the Korea Construction Policy Institute, whose websites were hacked on the 22nd, the day of the Lunar New Year."



The places where the website hacking was confirmed are the Korean Society of Language and Culture, the Korean Archaeological Society, the Korean Association of Parents, the Korea National University of Education Research Institute for Early Childhood Education, the Korean Society of Basic Medical Sciences, the Korean Social Studies Association, the Korean Society of East-West Psychiatry, the Korean Society for Cleft Lip and Palate, and Korea Visually Impaired Education and Rehabilitation. Society, Jeju National University Educational Science Research Institute, Korean Educational Principles Society.



The Chinese hacking group 'Xiao Qi-ying' also announced a hacking attack on KISA, but KISA said there was no peculiarity confirmed on the current website.



The Ministry of Science and ICT recently announced a cyber attack on Korean institutions by a Chinese hacking organization.
