AGN is one of four companies that have worked with Västlänken.

The Haga section is planned to be one of the three new underground stations, along with Korsvägen and Gothenburg Central.

The delays have become more and more frequent

According to the Swedish Transport Administration, ANG's work with the Haga sub-station has dragged on and the delays have increased, which is the main reason for canceling the contract.

"The decision was preceded by a longer and in-depth dialogue with AGN, where we could not come to an acceptable solution regarding production time and end time for completion," says Västlänken's project manager Bo Larsson in a press release.

In an interview with SVT, Bo Larsson clarifies:

- We have come to the end of the road.

Will take time and may be more expensive

The consequence will be that the Western Link will not be ready in 2026. There is no new forecast.

Will it be completed before 2030?

- That is absolutely our ambition, says Bo Larsson.

Västlänken will be an eight kilometer long railway for commuter and regional trains.

Just over six kilometers of it will go under central Gothenburg. One or more new contractors will now be procured to complete the work on the Haga stage.
