Her mother -through her lawyer Alessandro Palombi, who assists her and her partner- agrees to answer some questions.
Do you remember what happened that night?
She was still very tired, quite exhausted from the delivery, after 17 hours of giving birth, on January 5th.
She had entered the hospital the day before.
We had chosen the Pertini because I liked this place since I too was born there.
For two nights, the one after the delivery and the next, I managed, with great difficulty, to keep the baby close to me.
I was upset, I asked the nurses for help,
asking if they could hold him at least for a while.
But they told me that it was not possible to take him to the nursery.
And the same thing happened on Saturday night.
In fact, I felt worse than the previous days.
I asked again to take the baby.
They didn't.
Two nights I resisted, the last one I was very tired.
"It's not possible," they told me once again.
How was the child up to that moment?
Very good, in full health.
He weighed more than three kilos

The nurses gave me some pointers on how to get on the bed to nurse him, but apart from being tired, he always had an IV in his arm.
He moved me with difficulty.
So
that night I collapsed
, I just couldn't take it.
I haven't remembered anything since then.
Until?
Suddenly, in the middle of the night, the nurses woke me up: the baby was no longer in bed with me.
Without saying a word to me, they made me get up and took me to a nearby room: there
they informed me that the baby was dead

I do not remember that a psychologist was present, nor that they gave me a more detailed explanation.

At that moment I no longer understood anything,
everything collapsed on me.
Maybe I even passed out.

Little by little I realized.
He didn't remember anything from that night.
I don't understand how something like this could happen
: I asked for help for three consecutive nights from the staff of the department where she had been hospitalized (Gynecology and Obstetrics), they didn't listen to me.
Two days later, on January 10, I signed my resignation and went home.
Now I demand justice

The prosecutor has opened a file against unknown persons for homicide.
The agents of the Sant'Ippolito police station
, who went to the Pertini on the afternoon of January 8 at the request of the health department, have acquired the medical records of the child and the mother (negative to the drug-taking tests) and the duty shifts for Obstetrics doctors and nurses from January 4 to 8.
