“As part of the joint activities of combat coordination of the regional grouping of troops (forces) of Belarus and Russia, units of the 11th separate mechanized brigade began to remove equipment from long-term storage,” the Belarusian Defense Ministry’s Telegram channel says.
On January 19, it was reported that Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu held telephone conversations with his Belarusian counterpart Viktor Khrenin, they discussed a set of strategic deterrence measures and the progress in preparing a regional group of forces.
