South Korea records more than 12,000 cases of corona in 24 hours

The health authorities in South Korea announced the registration of 12,262 new cases of Covid-19, today, below the barrier of 20,000 for the third day in a row, due to the lack of tests during the Lunar New Year holiday.

The Yonhap News Agency quoted the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency as saying that the new cases, including 31 from abroad, raised the total number of cases to 30 million 21 thousand and 18 cases.

The new toll was a slight increase from the 9,227 cases recorded the previous day, but it is less than the 28,000 cases recorded a week ago.

The country recorded 10 additional deaths from Covid-19, bringing the death toll to 33,245 deaths.
