"For our collective and for France Culture that I love so much, I want to end this difficult moment", writes the leader whose supposed "brutality" had been the subject this fall of an investigation by Liberation, which also evoked reports for moral harassment.

"This is why, in agreement with the general management, I have decided to leave the management of France Culture", added Sandrine Treiner, without waiting for the results of an expertise commissioned by the management of Radio France, planned for " next week", according to Le Monde.

Taking stock of her eight years at the head of the antenna of the public group, she recalls that France Culture has not stopped over the period "to conquer listeners, until doubling the number".

"We also had our disagreements. Sometimes, obviously, reinforced by the distance, the separation, the difficulty of meeting, the reduction of informal times, sometimes also the speed of developments, the stress, the overload of subjects, we understood each other less well,” she says.

"I take full responsibility for it here," says Sandrine Treiner.

"Everything is more perilous for women. I myself have paid the price in the past. For women in charge, in a particular way. Here we are subject to contradictory injunctions, largely subject to well-established social representations which sometimes we still find it difficult to answer and which sometimes unfortunately we contribute to maintaining”, she writes.

It takes "a new impetus, and while Sibyle Veil, who has placed her unreserved trust in me (...) is beginning a new mandate, it is time for me to project myself into new perspectives", adds the resigning, welcoming the "solidity" of the "team in place".

According to Médiamétrie, France Culture attracted 1.7 million daily listeners in November-December 2022 (+25,000 over one year), for a cumulative audience of 3.1%.
