One of two US officials said the Biden administration is considering sending about 30 Abrams tanks.
The Wall Street Journal, citing US officials, previously reported that the US administration is leaning towards transferring "significant numbers" of M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine.
At the same time, Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder said that the United States is not yet ready to announce the sending of Abrams tanks to Ukraine.
