It was probably only a matter of time before Hans-Georg Maassen would overstep the mark.

It was the consequence of the path he had taken after his end as President of the Office for the Protection of the Constitution.

He saw and still sees himself as an unjustly treated victim who looks down on his supposed tormentors as intellectual pygmies.

Maassen's recent statements about alleged red-green racism and attempts to oust the old white man by Arab or African men can no longer even be described as a conspiracy theory.

Answering accusations of racism with accusations of racism is not very credible.

If you also do it like Maassen, it is more likely to believe that he only raises the accusation of racism to distract from his own racism.

These are the thoughts of a man who wants to make himself interesting in his community of victims with abstruse fantasies and exaggerations.

The only reason he does not leave the CDU is because he would then no longer be able to enjoy this role.

So he sinks lower and lower.

Maassen wants to harm the CDU

The question for the CDU is how low they want to sink with Maaßen.

She should show no more indulgence.

So far she has been able to take into account voices that consider Maaßen to be an unconventional outsider, but now she has to admit that a CDU member is out to harm the party in order to raise her profile.

It was the same with Max Otte, who ended up running for the AfD.

The party exclusion procedure is therefore inevitable.

Maassen got what he wanted.

With his view that a campaign is now being launched against him to prevent him from becoming chairman of the "Union of Values", Maassen overestimates himself and the "Union of Values".

The club fared in a way that the CDU must not have done.

He wanted to stop the neglect of the right spectrum by adapting to the right edge.

This has nothing to do with "values" or with the Union.
