Britta Marakatt-Labba was sitting in the audience when presenter Parisa Amiri appeared on her with the microphone.

The presenter wondered if the acclaimed film risks leading to more Stockholmers now wanting to move north - and asked if Marakatt Labba really wants that.

- If they contribute to something positive, they are welcome, she answered first.

- Do you really want that, Parisa Amini then asked and pointed to the screens where a picture of Ebba Busch, Ulf Kristersson and Ursula von der Leyen was shown during the EU summit in Kiruna.

- Absolutely not, replied Britta Marakatt Labba and was greeted by applause and laughter from the audience.

The death blow for the Sami village

Exactly what Britta Marakatt Labba, who has been committed to Sami rights for several decades, had in mind when she said that is unclear.

But during the EU summit in Kiruna, Ursula von der Leyen participated, among other things, in the inauguration of Europe's first launch site for satellites.

The space base has plans to expand the operation, which in that case will take up large parts of Talma Sami village's reindeer grazing lands.

At the same time, Minister of Economic Affairs Ebba Busch was present when LKAB released the news that they want to extract rare earth metals - which risks being the death knell for Gabna samaby.
