The Foreign Ministry announced on Tuesday the repatriation of 15 women and 32 children detained in jihadist prison camps in northeastern Syria.

Already at the end of last October, 15 women and 40 children had been repatriated to France.

France on Tuesday repatriated 15 women and 32 children who were detained in jihadist prison camps in northeastern Syria, the Foreign Ministry announced.

"The minors have been handed over to the services responsible for child support and will be subject to medical and social follow-up," said the Quai d'Orsay in a press release.

"The adults have been handed over to the competent judicial authorities," he added.

Last October, 15 women and 40 children who were detained in jihadist prison camps in northeastern Syria controlled by Kurdish forces were repatriated to France.
